Amazon's cheapest tablet has been updated because the company announced the release of a new version of Amazon Fire 7 at the same price as the previous model, with a price of only £ 49.99 (maybe $ 49.99, but this must be confirmed).
The slate storage package is twice as high as the previous model, with 16GB or 32GB built-in (with a microSD card slot), and has a faster 1.3GHz quad-core chipset. It also gives you hands-free access to Alexa and has a better 2MP front camera.
Most of the specifications and other features are similar to their predecessors. There is a 7-inch screen, a 2MP rear camera and a number of exclusive Amazon features, such as X-Ray and Family Library. It is interesting to note that the battery life is 7 hours, one hour less than the previous model.
The new Amazon Fire 7 will be available in Black, Twilight Blue, Plum and Sage. This is available for pre-orders starting today (May 16), and slate shipments starting June 6.
But it's not the only new Amazon tablet, because the company has also announced a new version of Amazon Fire 7 Kids Edition. This is also the same price as the previous model, at £ 99.99 (maybe $ 99.99), and also has a set of chips faster than the previous model.
It also has a 7-inch screen, 16GB of storage, a child casing with adjustable holder, microSD card slot, and parental controls. It also comes with a one-year subscription to Amazon Fire for Kids Unlimited, which provides access to children's books, videos, applications and audio books.
The new Amazon Fire 7 Kids edition is also available for pre-orders starting today (May 16), in stores on June 6 and available in blue, pink and purple.
