Mosaic is a mini-one-and-finished application. Use operating system user access when scanning directly from the home screen. Each mosaic is discrete mini information, from the weather to the reminder of your next event. These are things that can be combined on one screen into a larger device, but that requires enough information on one tile screen.
On paper, the card looks a bit excessive: there is a "complication" of mini notifications on the Wear OS home screen, which runs the clock and a complete smart watch application. However, in practice, they can streamline the way users process important information into small parts, easier to navigate than more dense multi-screen applications.
"This is a new one-time, fast case," said Francois Deschenes, Product Manager, TechRadar. They are optimized for consumption from wrist devices, with many comments from users to increase the number, or quantity, of information shared on each tile.
