Step 1: Embrace the Download
First things first, you need those sweet, sweet custom rosters. There are some amazing creators out there who've built rosters that are sharper than a freshly sharpened cleat. Do a quick web search for "[MLB The Show 22 Custom Rosters]". Be sure to download from reputable sources, you don't want your game catching a case of the digital mumps!
Step 2: Welcome to the Vault, Baby!
Once you've got your roster file downloaded, it's time to introduce it to the game. Head over to the in-game "Settings" menu, then navigate to the mysterious "File Management" section. Fire up a new Franchise mode (sorry, you can't import rosters into existing saves - think of it like starting a new season with a fresh outlook!), and during the setup process, you'll see an option to "Load Saved Rosters." This is where your new download comes in. Select it, and BAM! You're good to go.
