May 24th, 2022 – mark that date on your calendar, folks, but with a sad lil' asterisk. That's the day a dark cloud rolled over the small town of Uvalde, Texas. Robb Elementary School, usually a hubbub of youthful energy and multiplication tables, became the scene of a horrific event.
The Who and Why (ish)
An 18-year-old fella named Salvador Ramos, a former student himself, decided things weren't going swimmingly at the rodeo. The exact reasons are still a bit of a mystery, like a tumbleweed blowin' in the wind. What we do know is that it ended in a terrible tragedy.

This is the worst part, the part that makes even the toughest wrangler shed a tear. Nineteen innocent children and two amazing teachers lost their lives. These heroes – Irma Garcia and Eva Mireles – didn't hesitate to shield their students, and that's something we gotta remember and honor.
