No. No, the Houston Texans have not graced the world stage with a Super Bowl victory. This may come as a shock, considering the sheer audacity of our team colors (battle red, folks, it's practically intimidating) and the unwavering enthusiasm of Houston Texans fans. But hey, at least we haven't lost a Super Bowl yet, right? Right?
The Slightly Longer Answer: A History of Heartbreak (and Four Wild Card Wins)
The Texans are a young team, relatively speaking. Founded in 1999, we haven't quite had the time some franchises have had to rack up those Lombardi trophies. That being said, we have made it to the playoffs a respectable ten times. Unfortunately, those appearances have been about as consistent as a Texas spring: full of promise one minute, then met with a downpour of disappointment the next. We've managed to snag four Wild Card wins, but those sweet victories have all been followed by heartbreaking losses in the Divisional Round. It's like that one ex who keeps promising to change, then...well, you know.
