So, you've gotten yourself stuck in iPad purgatory, otherwise known as Guided Access. Don't worry, it happens to the best of us. Maybe you lent your iPad to your little Picasso in the making, and now your screen resembles a modern art masterpiece you can't quite navigate. Or perhaps you, yourself, got a little too enthusiastic about keeping distractions at bay and accidentally locked yourself in.

There are two main scenarios to consider:

- Exit Stage Left: Tap that beautiful "End" button and voila! You're free from the clutches of Guided Access.

Escape Route #2: The "Forgot My Passcode" Free-for-All

- The Force Awakens: Buckle up for a forced restart. Hold down the top button (or the side button on newer iPads) and one of the volume buttons (either one will do) for about 15 seconds. Don't worry, you're not breaking your iPad, you're just giving it a little reboot.
- Patience is a Virtue: The screen will go black, and then the Apple logo will appear. This might take a few tries, so channel your inner zen master.
