Sports betting is the most popular form of betting in the world and for good reason. The amount of change and different things you can do with sports betting is a luxury that other betting types don't have. As a massive bettor, I spent a long time being worried about which sport I wanted to bet on because I enjoy so many sports and know a lot and I'm sure a lot of you have that same issue. If you are new to betting and you are looking to find the right sport for you, I hope this can help.
Horse Racing
I think like any list like this you need to start with the one you enjoy the most and for me, that is horse racing. Horse racing is one of the oldest forms of betting in the world and is still one of the most popular which goes to show how enjoyable it is as well as this, you can look at horse racing odds today and find different horse races to bet on because there is usually many hote races a day unlike sports like football. Each year there are some massive horse race festivals and events that get the whole world betting on them and it gives you big events to look forward to.
Football
Football is the biggest sport in the world and the betting scene is very important to the sport, maybe not as much as horse racing but it is still a massive part of it. Football is a sport that has so many different betting options that it makes it one of the most entertaining to bet on. With horse racing, you have E/W and Winners and Top 5 as the main options but football has tens of different things for you to bet on and keep it fresh.
Boxing
It's another sport that has been around for absolute donkey's years. Boxing is a huge attraction to everyone worldwide and constantly gets some of the biggest PPV numbers in the world. Boxing is probably the most exhilarating sport here because people are getting knocked out which is very rare for the other sports, and if it happened in football and horse racing it would be a huge problem. The excitement of boxing and the unpredictability make it really fun but it is not a sport I will always bet on, I save my money for the big fights, like the recent Fury and Usyk fight.
Basketball
I feel like basketball is a sport that flies under the radar when it comes to sports betting and I'm not sure why. It is such a fun sport to watch and to put money on it is similar to Football with the amount you can bet on keeping it really fresh. The NBA finals are some of my favourite things to bet on and films like Uncut Gems really show the excitement that can come with betting on basketball.
Tennis
Tennis is an interesting one because it is one of the biggest draws in sport and gets in really strong viewings and attendance figures but no one thinks about tennis and betting, well except me clearly. Tennis recently has seen a growth in pop culture with films being made about tennis and even some of the biggest film awards being given to these films. So will this recent attention for tennis translate to more viewers and more people betting? I say yes, tennis is entertaining to watch and the added excitement of having some money on it, where's the harm?
