Hank Voight: Chicago P.D.'s Undying (and Occasionally Unkillable) Sergeant
Hank Voight. The name strikes fear into the hearts of Chicago's criminal underworld, and a craving for takeout in the hearts of his overworked Intelligence Unit. But fear not, Voight fans! As of today, July 25th, 2024, our fearless leader is still very much alive and kicking. Though, let's be honest, there have been a few close calls.

The Near-Death Experience That Had Us All Googling "Chicago P.D. Fan Fiction: Voight Lives"
Remember that whole "Voight gets kidnapped by a vengeance-seeking ex-cop" situation in season 11? Yeah, that wasn't exactly a walk in the park. We saw him drugged, bloody, and looking about as lively as a day-old donut. Spoiler alert (although, at this point, it's practically ancient history), Voight pulls through, thanks in no small part to a ghostly pep talk from his late partner, Alvin Olinsky.
Tip: Skim once, study twice.
Nine Lives of Hank Voight?
Look, Voight's been in more tight spots than a pretzel factory. He's been shot, stabbed, and glared at by enough angry bosses to make your head spin. Yet, the man persists. Is he secretly Wolverine in disguise? Does he have a lucky horseshoe surgically implanted somewhere? The truth is probably a healthy dose of plot armor and Jason Beghe's undeniable charisma. Because let's face it, Chicago P.D. wouldn't be the same without Voight's gruff charm and questionable morals.
QuickTip: Treat each section as a mini-guide.
So, Can We Relax Now?
Well, that depends. This is Chicago P.D., after all. Danger is practically another character on the show. But for now, Voight seems to be here to stay. At least until the next time he decides to bend the rules (which, knowing him, is probably right around the corner).
Tip: Don’t skip the small notes — they often matter.
