Is NCIS: Los Angeles Really Over? A Mourning Period
So, the big question on everyone's lips (or at least, on the lips of people who enjoy watching incredibly good-looking people solve crimes while looking incredibly good-looking) is: Is NCIS: Los Angeles really, really over?
Let’s face it, we’ve all been there. You’re mindlessly scrolling through your streaming service, and suddenly, you realize you've watched every single episode of NCIS: LA at least twice. And then you start to panic. What on earth are you going to do with your Sundays now?
The End of an Era
For fourteen glorious years, the team at OSP has been our go-to for thrilling undercover missions, witty banter, and enough slow-motion action sequences to make a cat purr. From the charismatic leadership of Special Agent G. Callen to the unwavering loyalty of Sam Hanna, we've grown attached to these characters like they're our own dysfunctional family.
But alas, all good things must come to an end. And in the case of NCIS: LA, that end came in the form of a two-part series finale that left us with more questions than answers (and a serious case of the feels).
Moving On (Or Not)
Now, I know what you're thinking. "How am I supposed to fill this gaping void in my life?" Well, the truth is, we're all in this together. We're grieving the loss of a beloved show, and that's okay. But like any good breakup, it's important to focus on self-care. Maybe it's time to rediscover old hobbies, try new things, or simply binge-watch another show (though, let's be honest, nothing will ever truly replace NCIS: LA).
How to Cope with the Loss of NCIS: LA
- How to find a new show to watch: Explore other crime dramas, action series, or something completely different. Variety is the spice of life, after all.
- How to fill the Callen-shaped hole in your heart: Find a new fictional character to obsess over. Or, if you're feeling brave, try talking to real people.
- How to stop dreaming about undercover missions: Get a hobby. Seriously, it'll help.
- How to avoid spoilers for potential spin-offs: Unfollow everyone on social media. Or, just embrace the spoilers and enjoy the ride.
- How to accept that the show is really, truly over: Give it time. And maybe watch the series finale one more time. Just for old times' sake.
So, there you have it. NCIS: LA may be over, but its legacy will live on. And until we find another show that can capture our hearts in the same way, we'll just have to keep rewatching those old episodes and pretending that Deeks and Kensi are still happily ever after.
