From Boston to Brew City: The Original Baseball Renegades
The Braves started their journey way back in 1871, as the Boston Braves (who knew, right?). They spent a good 81 seasons there, even snagging a World Series title in 1914. But let's be honest, Boston winters are no joke, and apparently, neither were the crowds. So, in 1953, the Braves decided to become baseball nomads and hightailed it to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, becoming the Milwaukee Braves.
Fun Fact: Back then, Milwaukee was known for its breweries, so you can imagine the post-game celebrations must have been legendary.
The move to Milwaukee proved to be a success! With future Hall of Famers like Hank Aaron and Eddie Mathews on the roster, the Braves brought home the World Series glory again in 1957. But here's the thing about baseball (and maybe life in general): things can change fast. Attendance started to dwindle, and the owners decided a change of scenery was in order. Enter Atlanta, Georgia!

Peachy Keen: The Braves Find Their Forever Home (Hopefully)
1966 - Mark this date down, folks! This is the year the Braves officially became the Atlanta Braves. The move wasn't exactly smooth sailing. There were lawsuits, appeals, and a whole lot of legal wrangling, but eventually, the Braves settled in their new southern digs.
Atlanta welcomed the Braves with open arms (and maybe some delicious peach cobbler). The team even got a brand new stadium, Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium (later known as Atlanta Stadium). It took a few years to adjust, but by the 1990s, the Atlanta Braves were a force to be reckoned with, winning their first World Series championship as an Atlanta team in 1995.
