Where in the World is Trudy Platt?
A Cry for Justice (or at Least More Screen Time)
Let's talk about the elephant (or should I say, the sergeant) in the room. Where the heck is Trudy Platt? I mean, we get it, Chicago PD has a lot of drama, explosions, and brooding detectives, but can we spare a few minutes for our favorite tough-as-nails desk sergeant?
It's like the writers have forgotten that Trudy is the glue holding the whole Intelligence unit together. She's the mom, the therapist, the occasional drill sergeant, and the keeper of all the juicy precinct gossip. Remember when she used to have epic one-liners that could cut through the tension like a hot knife through butter? Where did that woman go?
The Trudy Platt Drought
Some might say she's off on a well-deserved vacation, sipping margaritas on a beach somewhere. Others (and I'm firmly in this camp) believe she's been abducted by aliens and replaced with a robot. Because let's face it, the Trudy we've seen lately hasn't been quite the same.
I'm not asking for a Trudy-centric episode (although that would be amazing), but just a little more of her, please! A few more scenes, a couple of witty remarks, anything to remind us that she's still there. Because let's be honest, Chicago PD just isn't the same without her.
So, what can we do?
We could start a petition, write angry letters to the showrunners, or even stage a peaceful protest outside the studio. Or, we could just keep watching and hoping that Trudy will make a triumphant return. But whatever we do, let's not forget our beloved Sergeant Platt. She deserves better!
