When the Read view is activated, the icon in the address bar appears blue. When disabled, the icon is black, indicating that the current reading display is turned off.

Note: If the Reading Display button is not available (gray), this means that the current web page does not support reading display or the browser cannot find the markup element that can be deleted.

How to enable and disable reading display

First thing: let's see how to enable and disable read display on web pages.

  1. Launch Edge from the Start menu, desktop, or taskbar.
  2. Navigate to the webpage that contains the article you want to read.
  3. Launch Edge. Navigate to the article.
  4. Click the read read button - located near the top of the window and looks like an open book. If it is gray, the reading display is not available on this page.
  5. Click the read button again to return to the normal web page.

How to change the font size in the read view

  1. Launch Edge from the Start menu, desktop, or taskbar.
  2. Click the Other button - it is located near the top right corner of the window.
  3. Click Settings.
  4. Click the drop down arrow below the Read font size of the display. You might have to scroll down a little in the menu to find it.
  5. Click font size. You can choose from:
    • Small

  6. Click the More button again to close the menu. The next time you enter the reading view, the font will be resized.
