Microsoft has updated the Edge browser for Android to version 42.0.22.3726 in the beta channel.

The updates have only one new feature, but the good one. Edge for Android now supports Picture-in-Picture mode for Android Oreos and later phones.

This means that if you play a full screen web video and press the start button, your video will continue to play in a floating window that can be removed separately if necessary.

Unfortunately, although I was able to get a background sound, the picture-in-picture window has not been shown yet, but it can be my phone.

You can download the Edge application for Android at Play Store: Edge For Android
