To grab the whole screen, click your keyboard's Print Screen or PrtScn key. After that, the screenshot will be copied to your clipboard.

If you're using Windows 10 or 8, you should simultaneously click the Windows logo and the Print Screen (or PrtScn) keys on your keyboard. This PC > Pictures > Screenshots would then save the screenshot.
