A week ago, Microsoft released a knowledge base patch KB4497935 in Windows 10 Insiders in Slow and Release Preview was heard to test solutions to a number of problems in 1903, including USB drive letter problems that blocked updates for PCs with USB keys or SD cards.

Now Microsoft has released KB4497935 for all, taking the operating system to build 18362.145.

Apart from problems with removable drives, Microsoft still has a long list of bugs and problems that must be resolved, and KB4497935 contains the following changelog:

  1. Troubleshooting that can prevent application-specific scheme URI protocols from starting applications that are suitable for local intranets and trusted sites in Internet Explorer.
  2. Solves a problem that prevents certain applications from starting when you set a folder reference for the AppData Roaming folder in the network path.
  3. Solve the problem. I deactivated Nightlight mode when the display mode changed.
  4. Troubleshooting that can affect rendering of games in full screen when the Microsoft game bar is visible above the game.
  5. Troubleshooting that prevents Bluetooth® devices from being removed from some systems with certain Bluetooth radios.
  6. Troubleshooting problems that can cause event 7600 in the event log in the Domain Name System (DNS) server to contain an unreadable server name.
  7. Resolves an issue where guests per point (DPI) do not match the host.
  8. Resolve problems that can cause an external USB device or SD memory card to be moved to the wrong drive during installation. For more information, see the "This computer cannot be upgraded to Windows 10" error on a computer that has a USB device or SD card installed.
  9. Troubleshooting when File Share Witness does not delete Server Message Block (SMB) descriptors, which causes the server to stop accepting SMB connections.
  10. Troubleshooting that prevents the opening of application protocol URLs when hosted on intranet pages.
  11. Troubleshoot BranchCache problems in Distributed Cache mode. BranchCache can use more disk space than is used for caching. To solve this problem completely, devices that have exceeded disk space allocation must empty BranchCache by using the netsh branchcache flush command.
  12. Troubleshooting that can prevent certain Direct3D applications and games from entering full screen mode if the display orientation has been changed from the standard.
  13. Solve the problem by creating a Windows catalog file on the x64 system using the Windows System Image Manager. For more information, see What's New in the ADK Toolkit and Tools.
  14. Windows 10 users can download updates by checking for updates in the settings.
Addresses an issue that may cause an external USB device or SD memory card to be reassigned to an incorrect drive during installation. For more information, see “This PC can’t be upgraded to Windows 10” error on a computer that has a USB device or SD card attached. - Microsoft
