To accelerate a motorcycle you must gently apply the throttle while keeping the clutch lever pulled in. While doing this shift your body weight slightly forward and apply a little pressure to your feet on the pegs to help maintain control over your bike. If you are new to motorcycles be sure to take a training course to learn how to safely operate and control your bike. Once you've gained some experience practice acceleration through a variety of conditions and on different types of roads and surfaces to gain confidence in your ability to control your motorcycle through any situation.
