NCIS: LA - A Farewell to Our Favorite Faux-Families
So, NCIS: Los Angeles ended. A collective gasp swept the nation (or at least, the part of the nation that cares about people pretending to be spies while looking exceptionally good in suits). It was like finding out your favorite coffee shop closed down, except instead of lattes, you were mourning undercover ops and witty banter.
The End is Near...ish
The finale was a rollercoaster of emotions, much like a typical NCIS: LA episode. We had the usual suspects: Callen being all mysterious, Sam being the heart and soul, Kensi and Deeks being the adorable couple goals, and Hetty being...well, Hetty. But then, BAM! A wedding! Who saw that coming? Not me, that's for sure. I was still recovering from the shock of Eric and Nell finally getting together when boom, Callen and Anna decide to tie the knot on a whim. Talk about plot twists!
But let's be real, the biggest cliffhanger was the whole Hetty situation. Did she really just send Callen and Sam on a new mission? Girl, you're supposed to be retired! This is like telling your grandma to go on a backpacking trip through the Himalayas. It's admirable, but also, please sit down and let someone else handle the adventure.
The Legacy Lives On
Even though the show has ended, the impact it had on our lives is undeniable. We learned valuable life lessons, like how to spot a fake ID from a mile away, the importance of a good suit, and that sometimes, the best undercover agent is the one who looks completely out of place.
We also gained a newfound appreciation for acronyms. NCIS, OSP, FLETC – it's like a whole new language! And let's not forget the character development. We watched these characters grow from cocky young agents to seasoned professionals (with the occasional emotional breakdown thrown in for good measure).
So, while we may be sad to say goodbye to NCIS: LA, we can't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the countless hours of entertainment it provided. And who knows, maybe there's a spin-off in the works? We can dream, right?
