Ethan and April: A Love Story for the Ages (Or at Least a Few Seasons)
Okay, so, let's talk about the real reason we watch Chicago Med. No, it's not the medical drama (although that's pretty cool too). It's the will-they-won't-they saga of Ethan Choi and April Sexton. I mean, these two have been playing us like a fiddle since Season 2.
The Eternal Question: When Do They Finally Get Together?
We've been through breakups, makeups, secret relationships, and even a shooting. And yet, we’re still waiting for that grand romantic gesture. It’s like watching a never-ending episode of "Friends" where Ross and Rachel can't figure out if they're on a break.
Side note: If Ross and Rachel were doctors, would they still be this indecisive?
The Chexton Rollercoaster
Their relationship is like a rollercoaster. There are heart-stopping highs, stomach-dropping lows, and a whole lot of twists and turns. One minute they’re professing their undying love, and the next, they’re avoiding each other like they’re in a bad high school drama. It's enough to give anyone whiplash.
But you know what? We keep coming back for more. Maybe it’s the masochist in us, or maybe we just have a deep-seated belief that true love will conquer all. Or maybe we're just really invested in their characters and want to see them happy. Whatever the reason, we're here for it.
So, When Will It Happen?
Your guess is as good as mine. The writers seem to enjoy torturing us with cliffhangers and unexpected plot twists. But hey, at least we have something to look forward to every week.
And who knows, maybe they'll finally tie the knot in a surprise wedding. Or maybe they'll break up again, only to reunite in a dramatic fashion five seasons later. The possibilities are endless, and that's what keeps us coming back for more.
How To...
- How to survive the Chexton rollercoaster: Breathe, grab your favorite snack, and prepare for your heart to be broken and mended repeatedly.
- How to avoid spoilers: Unfollow all Chicago Med fan pages on social media. Or, just avoid the internet altogether until you've watched the latest episode.
- How to cope with the wait: Start a support group with other Chexton fans. Or, find a new TV show to obsess over.
- How to prepare for a potential Chexton wedding: Start saving up for a really good party. Or, at least learn to dance the slow waltz.
- How to stay sane while waiting for Ethan and April to get together: Remind yourself that there are other great shows out there. But let's be honest, nothing will ever truly replace Chexton.
