NYCC 2023: A Who's Who of Awesome (or at Least, We Hope)

New York Comic Con 2023 is over, but let's relive the magic (or at least the hype) of who showed up to this pop culture extravaganza. Because let's face it, half the fun of Comic Con is playing the guessing game of "Who will be there?" and the other half is regretting not buying that exclusive Funko Pop.

The Big Guns

Let's start with the heavy hitters. We're talking about the kind of people who make your inner fangirl/fanboy scream louder than a T-Rex. Chris Evans, the Captain America of our hearts, graced the con with his presence, probably causing a collective swoon that could be measured on the Richter scale. Ewan McGregor brought his Obi-Wan charm, making us all wish we were a Jedi for just five minutes. And let's not forget David Tennant, the Doctor Who of our dreams, who probably caused a time vortex of excitement.

Beyond the Big Screens

It wasn't just about the actors, though. Comic Con is a celebration of all things nerdy, so naturally, comic book legends like Chris Claremont and Jeff Smith were there to bless us with their awesomeness. Artists like Jorge Jiménez and Greg Capullo showcased their incredible talents, making us question our own artistic abilities (and probably making us want to buy every comic in sight).

Surprises, Surprises

Of course, there were plenty of surprise guests who popped up, making the con even more exciting. Who knew we'd be fangirling over a Five Nights at Freddy's panel? Or that Susan Sarandon would be rocking out the comic con scene? It's these unexpected moments that make Comic Con truly unforgettable.
